The Low Frequency Facility (LFF) is one of the R&D experiments in the Virgo Project, started in 1998. It is envisaged to measure the thermal noise of mirrors suspended to the Super Attenuator (SA, Virgo suspension). The principle of the experiment and the immediate future plans are described. This experiment is expected to shed more light on thermal noise dissipation mechanisms for different kind of suspensions and materials.
